Pad printing

Pad printing is a process that transfers a 2-D image onto a 3-D object. It uses an indirect offset printing process that involves an image being transferred from the stereotype which is a silicone pad onto a substrate. Pad printing is used for difficult to print on products in different industries like promotional or electronic objects and can even be use on appliances, sports equipment and toys as well. It can also be used to deposit functional materials like conductive inks, adhesives, dyes and lubricants. Pad printing can also be known as tampography. One unique properties of the silicone pad enable it to pick the image up from a flat plane and move it to a variety of surfaces.
