Digital printing

Digital printing is a form of  printing from a digital-based image to a variety of media. It normally refers to professional printing where SME jobs from other digital sources are printed using large-format/high-volume laser or lasers printers. Digital printing is more costly compare to traditional offset printing, but this price can be offset by avoiding the cost of all the technical steps required to make printing plates. It also allows for on-demand printing, short turnaround time, and even a modification of the image that is used for each impression. The savings made in labor and the increasing capability of digital presses means that digital printing going to  match or supersede offset printing technology’s ability to produce larger print runs of several thousand sheets at a lower price
