Offset printing
Offset printing is a printing method, which the inked image from a plate is transferred to a rubber blanket, then to a printing surface, this process is known as offset. When used in cojunction with the Lithography(the repulsion of oil and water) process, the technique uses ink to ink rollers to print on a flat surface, while the non-printing area attracts a water-based film which is named fountain solution, keeping the non-printing areas ink-free. The modern “web” process feed a large reel of paper through a large press machine in different parts, for several metres, which then prints continuously as the paper is fed through.
